Within analytical laboratories knowledge of operators shift more and more from technical know-how to expertise on acquired data. Future equipment used to generate analytical data should be more user-friendly, less error-prone, and be able to predict maintenance to fulfill increased expectations within the laboratory environment.

Spark Holland B.V. has initiated a project with a focus on predictive maintenance and troubleshooting for analytical ultra-high pressure pumps. The goal of the project is to create less downtime and more accurate maintenance on the instruments. A diagnostic tool will be developed, using digital twin and machine learning technology.
