The collection and storage of blood samples onto specially designed filter paper cards is considered to be very convenient, easy to use and cost effective. The analysis of such samples, however, has proved laborious due to punching out and manual off-line procedures. Now Spark has developed a new concept for simple and generic automation of dried blood spot (DBS) analysis. The Flow-Through Desorption (FTD™) technology inside enables automation of the entire workflow for DBS analysis by LC-MS/MS systems without any manual intervention.

• Flow-through desorption enables online coupling of DBS extraction to LC-MS/MS analysis
• Easy to link to Spark online SPE systems for online sample extraction, clean up and chromatographic separation prior to MS/MS analysis

• Carryover of ≤0.05% (default wash conditions)
